Obituary:Sharon L. Madison, age 73 of Taylors Falls died on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at her residence.
Sharon was born on August 15, 1939 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to parents, Timothy and Dorothy (Berry) Kirby. She moved at an early age with her family to California where she attended school and graduated from Mary Mount High School in Palos Verdes. She would attend USC for two years before joining the Army. After serving her duty in the Army she joined the Air Force where she met her future husband, Robert. They were married in 1962 at the Barksdale Air Force Chapel in Louisiana. Sharon moved back to California while Robert continued his military duties. In 1967 they moved to Minnesota and settled in Taylors Falls. They purchased their farm in 1968 and that has been Sharon’s home ever since. Sharon worked at the Taylors Falls School first as a secretary and later as librarian a job she truly loved. Sharon loved to read, watch college football games especially her Notre Dame Fighting Irish, volunteering at blood drives, her church and also doing the readings for Sunday Mass. She was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Taylors Falls.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Robert; daughters, Stephanie Beaulieu and Shannon (Ron) Mossman; sons, Robert (Mary) Madison and Sam (Jenny) Madison; her 10 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her aunt, Bertha and uncle, Tony.
Visitation: One hour prior to mass at church.
Service: Mass of Christian Burial 6:30 PM Thursday August 16th at the Church of St. Joseph in Taylors Falls
